Chi's ancestors hailed from the Steppes, leading her to frequently journey and immerse herself in her ancestors tribe's culture despite she herself not being native of there... This is the lie she tells everyone.

Following Doma's Liberation, in which she took part, the Xaela felt the urge to leave everything behind.Armed solely of her old katana and a handful of gil, Chi'yo set out to travel. She journeyed through Othard, Hingashi, Eorzea, Thavnair and even Garlemald - her former enemies.During her traverls, the Xaela quickly learned that her charms are just as lethal as her katana...Day after day, it became harder and harder for her to resist the allure of that lifestyle oh-so-different from the one she had known back home...A lifestyle of crime, secrecy, danger and deception.

  • A Xaela warrior of the Steppes, thrown into a chaotic Kugane. Raised in nobility and made a samurai, just to leave everything behind and start anew...

  • her life was set to change forever when one day, while visiting the Yokazura Palace, she was forwarded a formal invitation to join the family's dinner...

▍ ❝   The Azim Steppe and Dhotarl Tribe | Despite her lies, she is native of the Steppes. A Xaela of the Steppe can recognize her, a Dhotarl even more so. How much they'd know, can be arranged.

▍ ❝  Doman Liberation | Chi'yo took part of the Doman Liberation effort and fought with Xaela tribe during the assault at Doma Castle. If your character took part of the Doman Liberation in any capacity (or side), he or she may have seen and even fought alongside (or against) her.

▍ ❝   Traveler | Chi'yo is a seasoned traveler, and while she is not traveling as much today, it would have not be uncommon to spot her resting at inns dotted across different major cities during her traveler's days. An easy way to start for most characters.

▍ ❝   Criminal | Chi'yo could not resist the allure of the underworld for too long. Wherever she went traveling, the chances she did something unlawful are pretty high... Besides - As a member of a Yakuza family, the Xaela's innocence becomes a far distant notion.
